Sarah Mattes is an artist and illustrator. Her work has been published and exhibited in the United States and internationally. She has taught and given lectures at various colleges and universities including Pratt, Columbus College of Art and Design, Hamilton College and Colgate University. She received her MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She is a member of the Society of Childrens Book Authors and Illustrators and recently had a solo exhibition entitled Inner Tropics at KDR305 gallery in Miami, FL. She lives in Miami, FL with her husband and identical twin daughters.
